From Superintendent Jordan:
At approximately 9:45 AM this morning local authorities informed us that a bomb threat had been received specifically naming the Ridge View Community School. All students and staff were safely evacuated to Dexter Regional High School where parents were reunified with their children. A State Police canine bomb-sniffing unit performed an extensive search of the school and found nothing suspicious. The school will be in session tomorrow with an added Police presence. Thank you to all of the staff, students, and the Dexter Police Department for handling a very stressful situation in a calm professional manner.

EVERYONE CAN VOTE ONCE A DAY!

Vans announced this year’s top 50 semi-finalists for the Vans Custom Culture high school art competition, and Dexter Regional High School has been named as one of the top 50 semi-finalists!

This year, 500 qualifying schools participated by designing two pairs of blank Vans shoes illustrating the themes of ‘Local Flavor’ and ‘Off The Wall.’ In conjunction with the shoe designs, participating high schools submitted an Impact Document reflecting how their school, class and community would be impacted by the winning prize. Upon review, the Vans team selected this year’s top 50 based on creativity, relevance to theme and overall execution.

Starting today at 8 a.m. PT through May 4 at 5 p.m. PT, individuals can visit customculture.vans.com to cast their vote for Dexter Regional High School and help them to become a finalist to compete to win the grand prize of $75,000 for their art program.
